Why PADI Altitude Diver?

Any time you're diving from 300 to 3000 metres/1000 to 10,000 feet above sea level, you're altitude diving. If you want to explore the hidden world of mountain lakes or the beautiful river pools of the Olympics or Cascades, then the PADI Altitude Diver Specialty course is for you.

Prerequisite Certification:

PADI Open Water Diver or an equivalent certification from another agency.

Minimum age:

10 years old.

Academic Materials:

The PADI Recreational Dive Planner and the PADI Recreational Dive Planner Instruction Booklet.

Equipment Requirements:

Depending upon which type of location this course is focusing on there will be different equipment requirements.  Contact us for more information regarding the equipment requirements for this course.

Practical Training:

Students will conduct 2 dives at altitude.

Academic Training:

The Altitude Diver Specialty certification emphasizes altitude dive planning, procedures, techniques, problems and hazards. This course will also cover special procedures for altitude diving using the recreational dive planner, safety stops at altitude, and emergency decompression procedures.

Course Timetable:

This course can be conducted in as little as one day, or can be scheduled over multiple days if the student wishes.
