Why PADI Boat Diver?

Through the PADI Boat Diver Specialty course, you can learn the techniques and procedures for scuba diving from different types of boats and/or watercraft. After all, the more boats you're diving from, the more diving you're doing..

Prerequisite Certification:

PADI Open Water Diver or an equivalent scuba certification from another agency.

Minimum age:

10 years old.

Academic Materials:

This course requires that each student have an up to date Tidelog, and a Recreational Dive Planner (RDP) or computer.  Contact us for more information about additional Academic Materials required for this course.

Equipment Requirements:

Each student must provide all Scuba equipment.  Each student must also have a surface marker buoy or lift bag and a reel.

Practical Training:

Students will conduct a minimum of 2 boat dives.

Academic Training:

As part of your PADI Boat Diver Specialty course, you'll learn about:

Boat diving planning, organization, procedures, techniques, problems and hazards.  Proper boat diving etiquette, including equipment storage and conduct. Common boat terminology and Specific and local boat diving laws and ordinances. You will also cover emergency and safety equipment needed on-private dive boats.

Course Timetable:

This course can be conducted in as little as one day, or can be scheduled over multiple days if the student wishes.
