Why take a Diver Propulsion Vehicle Specialty?
If you want an introduction to the excitement of moving through the water with no effort, then his is your course.
Prerequisite
Certification:
Open Water Diver or an equivalent certification from another agency.
Minimum age:
12 years old.
Academic Materials:
This course requires that each student have an up to date Tidelog, and a RDP or computer. Contact us for more information about additional Academic Materials required for this course.
Equipment Requirements:
Each student must provide all Scuba equipment. Each student must also either have, or make arrangements for a DPV. If you need to find a DPV to use, let us know and we'll help you find one.
Practical Training:
Students
will conduct a minimum of 2 DPV dives.
Academic Training:
During the program, you'll learn the techniques you need to know for safe diver propulsion vehicle operation. This includes:
Diver propulsion vehicle dive planning organization, procedures, techniques, problems and hazards. Equipment and procedure considerations. And how to avoid harming fragile aquatic life.
Course Timetable:
This course
can be conducted in as little as one day, or can
be scheduled over multiple days if the student
wishes.
