Advanced Openwater Course!
Why take Advanced Open Water?
After this course you'll be more experienced, feel more comfortable in the water, and simply enjoy diving more. This course is a chance for you to gain experience while diving with an instructor. This course is designed to let your instructor pass on all of his or her little tricks of the trade.
Prerequisit Certification:
Openwater Scuba Certification.
Minimum Age:
Minimum Age for Advanced Open Water is 15 years old.
Minimum Age for Jr. Advanced Open Water is 12 years old.
Academic Materials:
Advanced Openwater Crew Kit with Nav Finder.*
*Students participating in Nitrox course will require the Nitrox Crew Kit as well.
Equipment Requirements:
Students must supply all basic Scuba equipment plus a knife, a compass, a slate, a primary light, a backup light, & a signalling device.
Academic Training:
Students will complete the Knowledge Reviews for the Night, Deep, and Navigation modules. There will be two additional Knowledge Reviews required, which modules these will be will depend upon which elective dives you and your instructor agree upon.
Course Timetable:
This course can be conducted in as little as two days, or it can be spaced out over a longer period if that is more convenient to your schedule.
Additional Fees:
Advanced Openwater Course Tuition does not include the use of any rental equipment, charter boat fees, or required specialty equipment.
Some elective disciplines will require other additional fees; talk with your instructor about which disciplines are right for you.
If you've elected to combine this course with a Nitrox course, the course tuition will include use of two cylinders of Enriched air between 22% and 39%.
