MudSharks
Mission - The purpose of the MudSharks Dive Club is to provide divers a chance to get together to listen to speakers, plan fun dives, meet new buddies, and catch up with long-time friends.
Membership Requirements - The great thing about the MudSharks is that there are absolutely NO requirements for being a member! The club is open to divers and non-divers alike, no matter whether they live locally or far away.
Membership Benefits - MudShark members are invited to special events that are not open to the general public.
There are special meetings with interesting guest speakers, sales that are open to members only, and local fun dives which only
MudSharks will be invited to.
Members get sent updates about new equipment offerings, and special offers on continuing education classes.
All MudShark members automatically receive the Diver's Fair flier, both via email and by U.S. Mail.
History - The name MudSharks was chosen to reflect the long, proud history that Underwater
Sports has in Pacific Northwest diving.
The Puget Sound MudSharks was originally a local competitive spear fishing team which
competed in events around the world... the MudSharks were highly successful and won a number of tournaments including the (now long gone) annual Sea Fair
Spear fishing Tournament in 1957.
Gary Keffler - founder of Underwater Sports was one of the founding members of the MudSharks. The club resulted in lifetime
friendships, some of which are still as strong today as they were in 1957.
Anyone interested is invited to stop by Underwater Sports Seattle where trophies, pictures, patches and other memorabilia is on
display.
