RESCUE / STRESS & RESCUE COURSES
Why take Rescue Diver or Stress & Rescue?
The Rescue Diver or Stress and Rescue course will expand your knowledge beyond the strictly recreational level. You will have training that allows you to look beyond yourself and consider the safety of other divers. Although this course is serious, it is an enjoyable way to build your confidence and skills. This is the minimum certification level that every good dive buddy should have
because it emphasizes looking out for other people.
Prerequisites:
Openwater and Advanced Openwater Certifications.
You must also provide documentation detailing the completion of a sanctioned CPR program within the past 24 months.
Minimum Age:
Minimum Age for certification is 15 years old.
Minimum Age for Jr. certification is 12 years old.
Academic Materials:
Rescue Diver Crew Kit with video.
Equipment Requirements:
Students must supply all basic Scuba equipment. Each instructor teaches a slightly different course so some specialty items may be different. Please contact us for a complete list of equipment requirements.
Academic Training:
Students will complete the Knowledge Reviews from the text. Students will complete and pass a final exam covering course content.
Practical Training:
Students will conduct a minimum of five dives spaced over at least two days. These dives will cover self rescue, diver stress, dive first aid, emergency management, equipment, swimming assists, non-swimming assists, panicked diver response, underwater problems, missing diver procedures, surfacing an unconscious diver, in-water
artificial respiration, egress and exits, first aid for pressure related problems, and dive accident scenarios.
Course Timetable:
This course can be conducted in as little as two days, or it can be spaced out over a longer period if that is more convenient to your schedule.
