Rescue Diver Course Letter

Thank you for choosing Underwater Sports for your Rescue Diver instruction.  We hope that you are as excited to begin your new adventure as we are to have you as a student! You should have your class schedule, if not, please contact the store location that you are taking your course for that information.

Academics:

The required material for this course is the PADI Rescue Diver E-Leaning program. You should be receiving an e-mail from PADI with a link to this online program.  Sometimes this e-mail ends up in the junk folder. Having this course work completed before class is extremely important.

Forms & Medical:

Under the forms section you will find all documents that are needed to be filled out. ALL DOCUMENTS MUST BE COMPLETED PRIOR TO CLASS! Please follow the directions on the form to determine if you will need a physician’s signature prior to your SCUBA certification class. If a physician’s approval is required and you are not able to obtain one prior to the first day of class, we will need to reschedule your class for a later date.

Here is a copy of our medical form- Diver Medical Participant Questionnaire

Prerequisite:

A PADI Advanced Open Water Diver certification or equivalent is required to take this course. All students must have an up-to-date CPR/First Aid certification; proof of documentation is one of the requirements to pass Rescue Diver.

If you do not have CPR/First Aid, please contact the location you are planning on taking Rescue Diver. Underwater Sports runs an Emergency First Aid (EFR)/CPR class and can provide you with the required materials to help you receive this certification.

Equipment:

Your class tuition does not include any gear that is needed for the class. Below is a list of items that are needed for you to complete Rescue Diver. If you need to rent any of the gear, please make a reservation ahead of time at the Underwater Sports location where your class will take place. Failure to reserve your gear ahead of time could result in rescheduling your class. Many of the items below are available to rent but not all. Please arrive 1 hour prior to your class starting to pick up the rental gear.

Speak with an Underwater Associate to determine what items may need to be purchased.

Items that are needed for class:

If a refund is requested more than 72 hours before the start of class, $100.00 will be retained by Underwater Sports as a service fee.
