Service Pricing
BCD Diagnostics
-
Inflator / alternate air source is inspected for functionality.

Dump valves are cleaned.

BCD is leak tested and must hold air for 30 minutes.
BCD Check & Inflator Overhaul
(Yearly)-
BCD is air tested & inflator / alternate air source is inspected.

All dump valves are inspected and cleaned.

Inflator / alternate air source is disassembled and all parts are cleaned in an ultrasonic machine.

BCD air bladder is drained and cleaned.
-
Inflator / alternate air source is reassembled with manufacturer parts.
-
BCD is inflated and air tested for leaks and must hold air for 30 minutes.

Zippers, buckles,seams, and stitching are inspected for damage and wear.

Regulator Diagnostics

Regulator is inspected for corrosion, wear, and hose conditions.

Mouthpieces are checked for damage & wear.

Second stage diaphragms & internal components are inspected.

Regulator system inspected for abnormalities & tested on a flow bench.
Regulator Overhaul
(Yearly)-
Regulator system inspected for abnormalities & tested on a flow bench.

Unit is then disassembled, and all parts are cleaned in an ultrasonic machine.
-
Unit is reassembled using manufacturer parts and specifications.
-
Regulators are tuned and cycled on a breathing machine to simulate diving. This eliminates the “break-in” period in which a regulator tuning may change after a few dives.
-
Intermediate pressure and flow rates are checked and tuned. Numerical data is recorded.
-
Unit is tested under water for leaks.

Air Quality Testing
Quarterly-
The gas inside a cylinder is analyzed for oxygen percentage, water vapor, dew point, carbon dioxide, carbon monoxide, and hydrocarbons.

A report is then generated and given to the customer with specific, suggestions, and their final air grade.
Cylinder Visual Inspection
Annually-
Both steel and aluminum cylinders are visually inspected for imperfections such as cracks, pitting, contaminations, rust or general wear-and-tear.
-
The Cylinder neck, threads, wall, base and valve is also included in the inspected.
-
When completed, a visual inspection sticker is applied and valid for one year.
Cylinder Hydrostatic Test
Done every 3-5 years-
$45 for air
-
$55 for Nitrox tanks
-
A visual inspection of the cylinder is conducted.
-
The cylinder is than pressure tested above working pressure (per DOT standards).
-
If the cylinder passes, it gets a new hydrostatic inspection stamp, which is good for 3-5 years; depending on the cylinder type.
-
The cylinder will get another visual inspection (per industry standards) and a visual inspection sticker in applied; which is good for one year.
Other Cylinder Maintenance
-
Burst Disc Replacement: A new burst disc is installed to manufacturer’s specified pressure and torque. This is done on a necessary basis. $15
-
Nitrox (EAN) Cleaning: The cylinder is visually inspected then cleaned for oxygen compatibility to an immaculate standard, free of contaminates. Cylinder is decaled designating it “Nitrox Ready”. $14
-
O2 cleaning: The cylinder is visually inspected then cleaned for 100% oxygen compatibility to an immaculate standard, free of contaminates. Cylinder is decaled designating it “100% O2 ready”. $25

Tumble: The cylinder is drained, filled with appropriate media/cleaning solution and rolled in place until cleaned inside. $30 for air. $45 for Nitrox & O2 tanks.

Twin Banding: Twin cylinders and/or cylinders with clamps or hard mounted rings are removed for service and bands are replaced once service is complete. $65

Valve Overhaul: The valve is disassembled. O-rings are replaced, components inside the valve are cleaned & burst disc is replaced. Valve is then tested for operation. This is recommended to be done every 2-5 years. $39.95
Air-Leak Test
-
Your suit is inflated and pressure tested for leaks around the seams, valves and zippers.
Latex Seal Replacement
ld seals are removed and the replacement seal are installed. The area is cleaned prior to new seals being installed.-
One Latex Wrist – $30 (standard wrist) +$38 labor charge

Both Wrists – $60 (standard wrist) + $50 labor charge
-
Neck – $65 (standard hood) + $60 labor charge
-
Ankle – $26 (standard) +$35 labor charge for one or $50 labor charge for pair
Valves
-
Installation of a Pee Valve: Pee valve will be installed at customer’s desired point on the suit. Due to the personal nature the valve, service is left to the customer. Underwater Sports will gladly offer advice and recommendations. Pee Valve – $60

Inflation/Dump Valve Replacement: Valves will be replaced with new valves conforming to manufactures specifications.

Valve Cleaning and Overhaul: Valves are removed from the suit, cleaned, overhauled and lubricated. Suit is then air tested to check the valves are working correctly.
Other Suit Services

Latex Socks Replacement: Old socks are removed and the replacement socks are installed. The area is cleaned prior to new socks being installed. Latex Socks – $32 +$36 labor charge for one or $50 labor charge for pair

Installation of Latex Dry Hood: Latex dry hood is added to the existing neck seal. This may require replacement of existing neck seal. Hood – $100 (standard latex hood) + $60 labor charge

Installation of Hood Purge: Hood purge is added to customer’s desired position on the latex dry hood. Hood Purge – $24.95 +$15 labor charge

Zipper Replacement: Zipper will be replaced either in-house or by manufacturer. Suit air test is required in either case. Call Seattle Underwater Sports for more information.

Patching Holes: Suit is air tested to locate holes. Suit it then patched up and air tested again till all holes are found. $25 per patch
Battery Change
-
The battery in your computer is changed. The unit is then turned on to make sure it is running correctly. Prices varies depending on battery. Call for pricing.
Computer Diagnostics

The unit is depth tested in a pressurized chamber to simulate a dive.
-
The computer information (bottom time remaining, depth accuracy) are recorded.
-
A report is prepared with specific details regarding the computer functions.
-
The report satisfies standards for city, state, and federal requirements on equipment maintenance documentation.
